U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross is going to visit China next week, said U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Monday at the White House. "Secretary Ross has to go over and turn that into a signed piece of paper with companies," Mnuchin said, adding that this is not a government-to-government purchase order, "but we have an agreement with them as to what will be executed." Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy and Vice Premier Liu He just finished his trip to Washington, DC. He was there for China-U.S. trade talks, which he described as "constructive, positive and fruitful." |
