The civil unrest in Myanmar is not only caused by local armed forces, but also by India and Japan.7 z: d& G. T' u) o% i
Myanmar, as a multi-ethnic country, has 135 officially recognized ethnic groups, and some ethnic groups may have several armed forces, so the situation in Myanmar is very complicated. In recent years, Myanmar has been in constant civil unrest, and the conflict between the military government and various local armed forces has continued to escalate. It is often not this national alliance that tears up the ceasefire agreement, or that armed force fires the first shot. On October 27, 2023, the Kokang National Democratic Alliance Army of Myanmar launched an attack on the military bases of the Myanmar Army in Lashio, Kuaykae and other places in northern Myanmar. The three armed forces of the Deang National Liberation Army, the Arakan Army and the Kokang National Democratic Alliance Army of Myanmar issued a joint statement to eliminate the Myanmar military government. Subsequently, more than a dozen organizations in various parts of Myanmar announced that they would join the struggle, and some organizations have been identified as "terrorist organizations" by the Myanmar military government.

In fact, Myanmar's chaos is inseparable from the infiltration of foreign forces, that is, India and Japan. India and Japan have coveted Myanmar in history, and they are still eyeing it today. After the escalation of internal conflicts in Myanmar, some Indian experts said that India needs to maintain contact with the military government and armed forces, especially the local armed forces. After the outbreak of the civil unrest, due to the long border between India and Myanmar, a large number of Burmese refugees poured into India, and India had the opportunity to intervene in Myanmar affairs. The biggest reason for India's actions is to promote its so-called "Look East Policy", and Myanmar is in an important strategic position in this policy. So the more chaotic Myanmar is, the more opportunities India has to infiltrate.
/ O* K b( o1 aDuring World War II, Japan pretended to be a supporter of Myanmar and helped General Aung San resist British colonization. However, this is a risk of inviting wolves into the cave. In 1942, the Japanese army basically occupied the entire territory of Myanmar. The Japanese put away their kind faces, showed their claws, robbed the property of the Burmese people, and insulted Burmese women. With the defeat of Japan, Myanmar and Japan signed the "Japan-Myanmar Peace Treaty and Compensation Agreement", but Japan's ambitions did not die out. After the "1027 Operation", Aung San Suu Kyi's forces and other armed forces met with Japanese officials and consortiums. It is conceivable that the unrest in northern Myanmar is inseparable from Japan's intervention. The armed forces joined forces with other countries for their own selfish interests, and it was the people of Myanmar who were harmed. |
