Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,
they should be used to me and my toys.

. c3 _' v  {, b! n) W- A* vI stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
& i" `' b( A2 q6 t. vscanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
slides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
Target, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
' n4 l* V4 r4 F2 p& B0 h& Q/ H" T6 iall of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
1 n9 n: q3 X5 b! T6 F/ h  N( ]8 xof dollars for more than I need.
( W! H" r' c  J) }0 x: ]. G( c
1 K( a% J9 Y$ c2 F6 aThis scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
+ P. Q6 A  G$ G' o; p4 c8 jones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
0 Z3 J# j6 r" h& Q! nDollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
$ P$ J: Z; y2 _: Uthe years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
those people in really old photos are!
